Overview

This department is mainly in charge of the surgical treatment of diseases affecting the lungs, mediastinum, heart, and major and peripheral blood vessels. To achieve our primary goal of “providing high-quality surgical treatment”, in addition to “providing safer and minimally invasive surgical treatment” that has recently been added, we make continuous efforts for improvement. We also actively train young surgeons who wish to specialize in respiratory or cardiovascular surgery in preparation for the new specialist certification system. We aim to contribute to community-based medical services, including emergency care, and the nurturing of surgeons with broad perspectives.
