Overview

Based on 60 years of basic and clinical research outcomes obtained by the Department of Pediatrics at Nara Medical University, this department promotes  research to standardize and optimize the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of blood coagulation disorders, including hemophilia. The area of hemophilia is now entering a period of major change along with the active development of new treatment drugs and methods in recent years. In consideration of the future of hemophilia treatment, we aim to obtain innovative findings that will contribute to patients’ benefits in- and outside Japan by examining treatment, diagnosis, and care based on our extensive basic and clinical research outcomes.
