Radioisotope Research Center (Applied Medical Science and Clinical Research)

Teacher and Staff

Genrou Kashino (Associate Professor)

Overview

It is important to correctly understand the benefits and risks of radiation. I am studying how each organ, tissue and individual cells that make up the human body respond to radiation. At present, we are working on research on (1) the mechanism of radiation-induced bystander effect, (2) the search for novel biological targets leading to effective radiation therapy, using cultured cells.
