1945 Nara Prefectural Medical College was established as the predecessor of Nara Medical University.
The affiliated hospital was established (8 clinical departments and 215 beds).
1947 Preparatory courses from the former Nara Medical University were held.
The name of the hospital was changed to Nara Medical University Hospital.
1948 School of the former Nara Medical University was established.
1952 (Present) Nara Medical University was established.
1955 A specialized nursing school affiliated with Nara Medical University was established.
1960 Nara Medical University Graduate School of Medicine was established.
1977 The name of the specialized nursing school was changed to Nara Medical University Nursing School.
1996 Nara Medical University College of Nursing was established.
2004 The Faculty of Nursing, School of Medicine, Nara Medical University, was established.
2007 The University was reorganized into Public University Corporation Nara Medical　University.
2017 “The Future Vision of Nara Medical University” was developed.
