Overview

The rate of age-related functional change markedly varies among individuals. There are also individual differences in the influences of such changes in mental, physical, and social functions. To maintain the quality of life of elderly people with various conditions, learners will multifacetedly consider methods for individualized preventive care. As the current prevalence of dementia among the elderly aged 65 or over is 15%, and it is expected that the rate will further increase in the future, learners will also examine factors associated with the disorder, and develop preventive measures against each factor.
