Overview

This department provides the Nursing and Midwifery Practice Courses.
In the Nursing Course, students will learn from the following 2 viewpoints: women's health science and perinatal nursing, and examine research themes related to midwifery and women's life course. In the Midwifery Practice Course, in addition to programs to obtain master’s degrees as part of the Nursing Course, those to prepare for the national certification examination for midwives are also available. Our aim is to nurture midwives with high-level research and practical abilities to extend their activities on a global basis. We create high-quality training environments, such as the Medical Birth Center belonging to the university, at which midwives’ practice on their own initiative, and comfort and safety are focused on, General Center for Perinatal Care, and midwifery homes where skillful midwives are working, effectively using their skills. Furthermore, it is possible to obtain a written certification after completing the Neonatal Resuscitation Course .
