Overview

As the only medical center providing tertiary emergency care in central southern area of Nara Prefecture, the Advanced Emergency and Critical Care Medical Center treats patients in critical conditions throughout the prefecture on a 24-hour basis. Efficiently dispatching doctors to the spots by exclusive vehicles, it promptly provides care for those in critical conditions requiring advanced emergency care, which are difficult to manage in other medical institutions, including multiple trauma, shock, major burns, and limb amputation. After providing necessary emergency care during initial treatment, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, surgery, and transcatheter arterial embolization, and admitting such patients to the intensive care unit, we perform respiratory and circulatory management to save their lives using mechanical ventilation, percutaneous cardiopulmonary assist devices, blood purification methods, or others.
