Overview

Our research theme is pathological analysis integrating pathological and clinical findings. Based on the pathological diagnosis of tissues (approximately 10,000/year) and cells (approximately 10,000/year) by the university hospital, we examine diverse diseases, including tumors and inflammation. Aiming to establish methods of more accurate preoperative diagnosis, we analyze clinically useful information regarding the prognosis of malignant tumors and selection of methods to treat them visually, morphologically, or at the protein or gene level. We also perform pathological analysis of arteriosclerosis and atherothrombosis complicating it in patients with myocardial or cerebral infarction.
