Overview

The Nursing Practice for Chronic Disease Management in Adults course targets young adults and the middle-/late middle-aged with chronic diseases. Chronic diseases include: respiratory diseases, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, Crohn’s disease, cancer, and other diseases involving chronic conditions. With the progress of treatment and aging, an increasing number of people are leading their lives while coping with diseases. In this course, students clarify the influences of health level and health disorders on the lifestyles of people with these chronic diseases in consideration of their developmental challenges, and to develop nursing support for them to live their lives in their own way.

The main research topic is the development of care techniques for people with these health problems, covering health promotion and disease prevention. Research activities to develop practical skills are also performed.
