Specialized Subjects

All medical professionals, regardless of their specialties, face the necessity of developing knowledge of microbiology and infectious diseases, particularly when addressing antibiotic-resistant bacteria as a challenge of the treatment of infectious diseases or countermeasures against in-hospital infection. It is expected that unknown bacteria with the ability to newly resist against antibiotics will appear one after another in the future. In this department, lectures on such bacteria will be delivered, with the aim of developing an understanding of the mechanisms of their appearance and resistance.
