Introduction of the department

We perform our daily activities with the goal of “providing high-quality, reliable, trustworthy medical services” in consideration of the roles to be carried out by our hospital in the community.

We are operating this department, aiming to establish a system for close collaboration with other community medical institutions.

Outline of the department

[Appointment system for first-time referred patients]

To shorten the waiting time for referred patients, and to ensure consultation with specialists for their purposes, all medical departments of the hospital provide appointment-based services for first-time referred patients, with the Department of Community Liaison as a contact point. We only accept appointments for medical examination from medical institutions. Therefore, patients are asked to undergo examination by their “family doctor” or another medical institution first, and then visit our hospital for consultation, bringing a letter of referral with them, in principle.

[Collaborative doctor registration system]

With the aim of providing medical services that fulfill patients’ needs by promoting active and close collaboration for medical care, we have established a system to register “collaborative doctors”.

[Hospital-hospital and hospital-clinic collaboration]

We frequently report the progress of treatment for referred patients to referring medical institutions, and ask the patients to return to these institutions when their treatment at our hospital is completed, in principle (reverse referral).

We may also refer the patients to other medical institutions with specialties, if necessary.

Additionally, we disseminate information to and promote exchange with community medical institutions by publishing PR magazines, such as <Bulleting of the Department of Community Liaison>, and holding <Exchange Meetings for Community Liaison>.

To medical institution personnel:

Our hospital is a core hospital in Nara Prefecture. It provides highly advanced medical care as an advanced treatment hospital, and functions as a medical center in many fields.

Being charged with the mission of “providing safe, high-quality, advanced medical care”, we exert every effort daily to satisfy our patients. As we accept many patients, we ask you to make an appointment using our appointment system for first-time referred patients when you refer your patients, so that they can visit our hospital with a sense of security. If they visit the hospital without an appointment, they may receive consultation after appointment-based service hours, or be inconvenienced due to the closure of the relevant department or change of the doctor in change. For smooth service provision, your understanding and cooperation would be appreciated. Please note that referral appointments are accepted by fax/online.

In addition, to provide medical services that fulfill patients’ needs through active collaboration with community doctors/medical institutions, we have established a “collaborative doctor registration system”.
