Overview
In 1965, Professor Susumu Tamai performed the first successful replantation of the completely amputated finger. In 2016, we have established the Susumu Tamai Memorial Limb Trauma Center at Nara Medical University. This center focuses on research of microsurgery such as replantation, transplantation and nerve regeneration.
