In the field of obstetrics, we conduct both basic and clinical research on obstetric complications, such as hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and preterm birth, with a focus on the role of inflammation. Our research is supported by a large number of clinical cases, enabling multifaceted investigations.
In gynecology, our research aims to elucidate the mechanisms underlying endometriosis and its progression to ovarian cancer, as well as to identify novel therapeutic targets. We are focused on inducing efficient ovarian cancer cell death through synthetic lethality, examining the significance of Tissue Factor Pathway Inhibitor 2 (TFPI2) as a tumor marker for ovarian cancer and investigating its broader biological impact.
In the field of reproductive medicine, we are engaged in studies on the relationship between intrauterine inflammation and implantation mechanisms, the development of therapeutic approaches for intrauterine inflammation, and the establishment of clinical systems for fertility preservation in cancer patients.
