Our department integrates mathematical sciences, data science, statistics, and machine learning to analyze multimodal data generated from experimental and clinical studies and to develop advanced AI models. While these models provide powerful predictive insights, their outputs remain predictions that require experimental validation. We therefore directly assesse the validity of AI-generated hypotheses through experiments using cultured cells and clinical specimens. By combining computational and experimental approaches, we conduct interdisciplinary research that bridges data-driven discovery and biological validation. Our current work addresses key challenges in oncology, virology, and drug discovery, with the ultimate goal of generating new biomedical knowledge and translating these findings into clinical applications.
